Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to direct and coordinate CDL medical examinations, ensuring compliance with FMCSA guidelines and accurate recordkeeping. You will collaborate with OHS and other units to schedule exams and manage cases across STD, FFD, and return-to-work programs.

The role requires state licensure, DOT certification, and 2–5 years in occupational health nursing, with strong teamwork and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or PA licensed in the state where service is provided.
• Certified to perform CDL medical examinations as a DOT medical examiner.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and guidelines.
• 2–5 years of occupational health nursing experience or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DOT physical examinations for CDL drivers and assess fitness for safe operation.
• Review medical history and document findings; issue DOT medical certificates; maintain confidential records.
• Coordinate examinations with OHS nurses and other stakeholders.
• Stay current with FMCSA regulations and provide timely updates as needed.
• Evaluate job functions to identify necessary accommodations and return-to-work plans.
