Exelon is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to lead CDL medical examinations for commercial drivers. The role ensures fitness for duty, reviews medical histories, and maintains confidential records in compliance with FMCSA guidance.

You will coordinate exams with OHS nurses and may handle high-risk cases with physician oversight, plus stay current on regulatory standards. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in occupational health, FMCSA knowledge, and strong team collaboration.

Formación

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Licensed in State where service provided).
• Registered with the FMCSA National Registry to perform CDL medical exams as a certified DOT medical examiner.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and guidelines.
• 2 to 5 years of occupational health nursing experience or related field.
• Knowledge and understanding of case management for workers' compensation, disability, limited duty, safety, Industrial Hygiene, healthcare plans, regulatory medical requirements, and external healthcare resources.
• Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct thorough DOT physical examinations for CDL drivers. Review medical history and assess driver fitness for safe operation of commercial vehicles. Document all findings and issue DOT medical certificates. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records (60%).
• Coordinate and schedule DOT CDL Medical Examinations with OHS nurses (10%).
• Consults and, at times, will manage cases requiring physician level review, high frequency and/or high-risk injuries/illnesses. Develops ongoing evaluations, treatment plans and recommendations. Maintains case notes.
• Stay current with FMCSA regulations and guidelines.
• Evaluates essential job functions and identifies accommodations and part-time work when needed.
• Determines service needs, selects providers, and advises on network retention or removal.
