Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to direct and coordinate CDL medical examinations. You will review medical history, assess fitness for safe operation of commercial vehicles, and maintain confidential records, while staying current with FMCSA regulations.

You will manage cases for STD, FFD, and return-to-work, and collaborate with OHS nurses and other departments to ensure compliant, timely care for CDL drivers.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner or PA licensed in the state of service.
• Registered with FMCSA Registry to perform CDL medical exams.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and guidelines.
• 2–5 years in occupational health nursing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DOT physicals for CDL drivers and document findings.
• Schedule CDL medical examinations with OHS nurses.
• Coordinate case management for disability and return-to-work.
• Stay current with FMCSA regulations and guidelines.
• Evaluate job functions and determine necessary accommodations.
• Coordinate with benefits, HR, safety and other departments.
