Job summary

Walmart Semmes, AL location is seeking a facility maintenance professional to operate and maintain exterior services. You will manage equipment, budgets, and safety programs while coordinating with Home Office and third-party providers to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient facility operations.

The role emphasizes compliance with OSHA/EPA guidelines, customer service, and ensuring a clean, safe environment for associates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• No DUI/DWI/OUI/reckless driving within last 3 years.
• No more than two moving violations in last 3 years (for CMV).
• No serious traffic violations in last 3 years for CMV.
• Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification prior to hire.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• 2 years’ landscaping/gardening experience preferred.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering/ Maintenance/ Construction Management or related area preferred.
• Experience in third-party management preferred.
• Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish (preferred).
• State/local licensing where required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery and perform pre/post operation safety checks.
• Maintain and coordinate vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Manage budgets and approve purchases for facilities and equipment.
• Assist with safety, ethics, and compliance per Walmart policies.
• Provide customer service and resolve facility-related issues.
• Source parts and equipment, manage stock, and control on-hand inventory.
• Lead third-party providers and conduct performance evaluations.
