Job summary

Walmart in Rogers, AR seeks a Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT to maintain safe, clean exterior operations and lead third‑party providers. The role requires experience with heavy machinery, seasonal maintenance, and regulatory compliance in OSHA/EPA contexts.

You will manage budgets, source parts, coordinate repairs, and ensure safety standards while supporting the team and customer needs. This position offers full-time hours and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
• No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
• No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre-hire.
• As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
• 2 years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment following safety and certification standards.
• Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow and ice management to ensure safe facility conditions.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot facility issues to meet operational standards.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and compliance with documentation requirements.
• Coordinate purchases, control costs, and submit warranty claims for parts and equipment.
• Lead third-party providers and support associate development through coaching and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies to maintain a safe and ethical work environment.
