Job summary

Pacific Coast Building Services, Inc. (PCBS) is seeking a DOT Compliance Coordinator to support fleet safety and regulatory adherence across branches.

You will monitor driver qualifications, oversee GPS and dash cam systems, and track DOT and CARB regulations while assisting with inspections, permits, and compliance reporting.

This role requires at least 2 years in a fleet support role, strong organizational skills, and solid computer and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a fleet support role.
• Working knowledge of DOT and CARB regulations.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient in computer use.
• Excellent reading, comprehension, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor driver qualifications and driving records.
• Oversee GPS and dash camera systems to maximize safety.
• Monitor FMCSA performance and address violations with branches.
• Assist branches with inspections and required testing.
• Monitor all aspects of DOT compliance (logbooks, hours of service).
• Maintain vehicle and equipment data in CARB databases.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and support improvement projects.
• Assist with contractor equipment projects (permits, inspections, GPS tracking).
• Track and monitor permits and registrations (DOT, hazardous materials, MCP).
• Understand and oversee trip permits, IRP, IFTA, dual state registration.
• Prepare periodic reporting on fleet safety and compliance items.
• All other duties and responsibilities assigned.
