Job summary

SunEnergy1 seeks a Fleet Compliance Coordinator to identify hazards, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee safety programs across the company’s fleet. The role focuses on DOT Driver Qualification Files, Drug/Alcohol programs, maintenance planning, vehicle inspections, and Hours of Service management.

Ideal candidates will have an Associate degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and 3+ years in fleet maintenance or supervision, with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in facilities management, building, business, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for advancement or supervisory duties.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Maintenance/Fleet Manager or Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address hazards and risks through assessments.
• Administer and manage DOT Driver Qualification Files and Drug/Alcohol programs.
• Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and vehicle inspections.
• Manage FMCSA Hours of Service compliance, Driver-Logs, and NCOSHA/FEDOSHA requirements.
• Prepare and maintain reports and documentation; coordinate with departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

In this role, you will work to identify and proactively address hazards and risks through assessments of SunEnergy1 and the Company's fleet. You will be responsible for administering and managing DOT Driver Qualification Files, DOT Drug/Alcohol Programs, preventive maintenance schedules, vehicle inspections and FMCSA Hours of Service standards, management, and compliance of Driver-Logs, and NCOSHA/FEDOSHA.

Fleet Compliance Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigning the work activities according to the given time frame and reviewing the work of the contracted services or internal staff members.
• Confer with various departments regarding the needs and issues of vehicles that need to be addressed and ensure timely resolution of relevant conflicts and ensure that the vehicles are maintained and that they meet and are operating to safety standards and operate properly.
• Schedule and maintain statistical reports, files, and records related to maintenance, repairs, depreciation, mileage, etc., for various types of vehicles (e.g., OTR, Trailers, Forklifts).
• Submit and maintain documentation related to DOT FMCSA MCS1250, Clearinghouse, UCR, Motor Carrier, Insurance, and Bonds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Associate degree in facilities management, building, business, or another related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years' experience as a Maintenance and or Fleet Manager/Supervisor.

Fleet Compliance Coordinator Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of NCOSHA/FEDOSHA
• Knowledge of related safety practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in addition to proficient computer skills.
• Ability to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees.
• Must be able to attend work regularly and reliably, according to the schedule established at the company's management discretion.
