Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma, or equivalent GED, and three years of successful work experience providing supervision of children in a caregiving capacity.
• Prefer experience with special needs children who have developmental or sensory disabilities; or an Associate's Degree and one year of experience providing supervision of children in a caregiving capacity.
• This position may require communication modalities dependent upon employment placement.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors student behavior and location, enforcing the Student Code of Conduct.
• Teaches personal hygiene, independent living skills, study habits, and dorm care.
• Ensures safety and security, reports unsafe conditions, and administers basic first aid.
• Leads leisure and cultural activities and assists with problem solving.
• Communicates with parents and staff regularly about student needs.
