Job summary

Vortex Doors is seeking Service Technicians to join our team of door industry professionals. You will install, repair, and maintain a variety of doors and related hardware to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Ideal candidates have door experience or are entry-level. The role emphasizes problem-solving, attention to detail, and strong customer service as you work across installations, diagnostics, and maintenance tasks within standard business hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in the commercial door service industry is a plus.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Proficiency in reading a tape measure for precise installations.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair a variety of commercial doors using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Diagnose and conduct routine repair door-related issues such as springs, hinges, locks, and electrical components.
• Install and configure door hardware like locks, handles, closers, and access control systems.
• Ensure all installed doors meet safety and building code regulations and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and explaining repair processes.
