Vortex Doors is seeking Service Technicians to join our team of door industry professionals. We install, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial doors and hardware, ensuring safety and reliability for customers. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in the commercial door service industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with various door types, brands and hardware is beneficial.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Commitment to safety regulations and quality workmanship.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Door Installation: Install and repair commercial doors using appropriate tools.
• Repairs and Maintenance: Diagnose and fix door-related issues and components.
• Hardware Installation: Install locks, handles, closers, and access control.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure installations meet safety codes and standards.
• Customer Service: Explain repairs and provide cost-effective solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain records of service visits and reports.
• Troubleshooting: Identify issues and communicate resolutions to customers.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks to meet company standards.
