Vortex Doors, America’s leading door repair company, seeks Service Technicians to install, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial doors and hardware across customer sites. You will ensure safe operation, proper lubrication, and code compliance while delivering top-notch service to diverse clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in the commercial door service industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of various door types, brands, and hardware is a plus.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in mathematical calculations involving fractions and reading a tape measure.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Additional ongoing training provided.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair various commercial doors and hardware.
• Diagnose and repair door-related issues including springs, hinges, locks, and electrical components.
• Install and configure door hardware such as locks, handles, closers, and access control.
• Ensure doors meet safety and building code regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain repair processes.
• Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and installations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical door issues; communicate cost-effective solutions.
• Perform quality checks to ensure workmanship meets standards.
