Job summary

Earthjustice seeks a Donor Engagement Specialist, Travel to design and execute customized travel experiences for principal and institutional funders. You will collaborate with the Travel Program team, manage budgets, and coordinate with donors, staff, and outfitters for exceptional guest experiences.

This non-supervisory, full-time role requires 4+ years in mission-driven travel for major funders, strong communication, and a commitment to Earthjustice’s values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years designing multi-day travel experiences for major funders in a non-profit.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mission-driven travel planning and donor relations.
• Self-starter with ability to lead complex assignments with stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication and discretion with audiences.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Experience budgeting and negotiating vendor contracts.

Responsibilities

• Co-design travel programs for principal and institutional funders with intake frameworks.
• Research and develop new trip concepts to connect audiences to Earthjustice impact.
• Pursue professional development to strengthen skills and promote equity.
• Operationalize and implement 3–4 tailored travel experiences annually.
• Oversee travel planning with fundraisers, donors, staff, and outfitters.
• Brief leadership and guests; debrief for continuous improvement.
• Negotiate trip costs and manage expenses within budget.
• Partner with donor relations and volunteers on host recruitment and guest communications.
• Draft trip invitations and coordinate execution with teams.
• Provide best-in-class customer service in communications.
