Job summary

Community Blood Center, Inc. in Appleton, WI, is seeking a part-time Donor Services Assistant to welcome donors, handle registration, and support cafe duties at fixed sites and mobile drives.

The role requires strong communication, data entry, and confidentiality. Training is provided; responsibilities include promoting CBC programs, assisting staff, and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate well with others.
• Strong, flexible interpersonal and data entry/computer skills.
• Attentive to detail with good follow through.
• Maintain confidentiality of CBC and donor information.
• Professional demeanor and reliability.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; travel to mobile drives.
• Must be able to lift objects up to 35 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register donors, instruct on ReadyDonor information and health history questionnaire.
• Greet guests/contractors and notify CBC personnel of deliveries.
• Perform donor registration at fixed sites and mobile drives.
• Monitor donors for adverse post-donation reactions and summon staff when needed.
• Serve refreshments and maintain cafe cleanliness.
• Submit supply orders to purchasing agent in a timely manner.
• Assist in training of new employees and volunteers.
• Encourage donors to schedule future donation appointments.
• Provide donors with information on CBC programs and donation types.
• Promote donor app Lifesaver Rewards and marketing promotions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of department software such as MS Office, HemaConnect, HemaCollect, Ready Donor, Donor App, Volgistics, Employee Portal, UKG, Concur.
• Assist with clerical, reception tasks and other duties as assigned.
• Comply with CBC policies and SOPs; maintain skills via trainings.
