Job summary

LifeStream in San Bernardino, CA is seeking a Full-Time Phlebotomy Technician to provide donor registration, interviews, and phlebotomy services at the SAN BERNARDINO MAIN CAMPUS. Responsibilities include pre-donation testing, donor history interviews, and documentation.

The role requires basic computer skills, ability to lift 30 pounds, and excellent customer service. Training will cover equipment setup, QC, and donor recruitment activities across multiple blood draw sites.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers with dignity and respect in a friendly, professional manner.
• Perform donor registration on computer and manually when needed.
• Measure vitals and conduct pre-donation testing.
• Prepare pre-donation samples.
• Interview donors regarding medical history and health status.
• Perform venipuncture for allogeneic and directed whole blood collections.
• Monitor donor recovery and manage adverse donor reactions.
• Prepare blood units for transport to the laboratory.
• Maintain daily equipment and QC records.
• Actively recruit donors for Blood Bank programs and promotions.
• Work at different draw locations as needed.
