Job summary

LifeStream Donor Center in Placentia, CA is hiring for a Full-Time Phlebotomist/Donor Center Technician. You will register donors, perform interviews and health checks, and conduct phlebotomy for whole blood collections.

Responsibilities include sample processing, donor monitoring, documentation, and participation in donor programs and outreach events. Requires HS diploma, CPR, and phlebotomy certification where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications listed may be preferred.
• CPR certification required; Phlebotomy or related healthcare certs are a plus.
• Phlebotomy training or related military certification encouraged; background in healthcare settings may help.

Responsibilities

• Triage and register donors with dignity and professionalism.
• Perform donor interviews and health screenings.
• Conduct vital checks: blood pressure, temp, pulse, hematocrit/hemoglobin.
• Prepare pre-donation samples and collect blood via phlebotomy.
• Document donor information, procedure details, and QC records.
• Assist with donor recovery and adverse donor reaction care.
• Handle equipment setup, QC, and transport-ready blood products.
• Recruit donors for bank programs and special events.
• Work at multiple draw locations as needed.
