Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking an entry-level donor center assistant in Flint, MI to greet donors, verify suitability, and guide them through screening procedures. The role involves health checks, documentation, and adherence to SOPs.

After training, you may educate donors on plasma-derived products and assist with donor registrations. The position supports a safe, compliant center environment with confidentiality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 months experience in clerical or customer service in medical/health provider setting.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Different qualifications may apply based on local legal/educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors at the plasma collection center and verify donor suitability.
• Assist donors with registration procedures and screening per SOPs (health history, questions, screening tests).
• Perform health screenings such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature and finger stick for hematocrit/total protein.
• Educate donors on plasma-derived products after training and address questions from donors.
• Register and transfer donors as trained, and handle donor communications by phone when needed.
• Monitor donors for reactions during/after pheresis and escalate to staff as required.
• Keep donor flow issues communicated to supervisor and maintain accurate data in the electronic system.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies, maintain confidentiality of donor information, and keep workspace stocked.
• May cross-train in other areas and assistance with bilingual needs as required.
