Job summary

Goodwill Central Coast is seeking a Store Associate to greet donors and customers, assist with product selections, and handle cash transactions at the point of sale. The role involves opening/closing procedures, shelf replenishment, and maintaining a neat store and donation area.

Primary duties include processing donations, rotating stock, and communicating any issues to the Store Manager, while performing a variety of related tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience required; sales experience preferred.
• Basic math knowledge.
• Ability to communicate in English; Spanish desirable.
• Familiarity with cash handling and retail policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and customers entering the store or donation site.
• Assist with product selections and customer service to promote sales.
• Learn and operate the cash register system for transactions.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and stock rotation.
• Inventory merchandise on the sales floor and ensure neat, safe presentation.
• Prepare donations and rotate merchandise for transfer to central processing.
• Report issues to the Store Manager (safety, theft, or service issues).
