Job summary

Open Arms seeks a Donor Relations Associate to grow and strengthen our community of supporters. You will work with the Development Director and Communications Team to attract new donors, deepen existing relationships, and sustain individual giving that advances our mission.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of nonprofit fundraising or donor relations experience.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills to engage donors and stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Initiative and creative problem-solving within fundraising strategies.
• Commitment to ethical fundraising and donor confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Zoom; ability to learn online tools and databases.

Responsibilities

• Implement donor engagement activities in partnership with the development team and maintain donor records.
• Coordinate with contractors on gift coding, database processes, and reporting for accurate donor information.
• Generate donor reports to support fundraising and stewardship efforts.
• Track matching gifts and follow up on outstanding matches.
• Manage donor data entry, data cleanup, and financial reconciliation to support operations.
• Develop personalized stewardship and outreach to strengthen donor relationships.
