Job summary

The Museum of Fine Arts Boston is seeking a Development Associate for Annual Programs. This role leads the Museum Council, a young professional membership group, and supports essential administrative operations and donor services for the Annual Programs team.

The Associate reports to the Assistant Director and collaborates with Directors across departments to foster donor engagement and a welcoming visitor experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
• One to three years of experience in customer service, event coordination, nonprofit administration, membership programs, fundraising, or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through.
• Experience with maintaining and extracting data from CRM databases
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Museum Council program including membership enrollment and renewals, event programming, and communications.
• Manage member renewals, recruitment, and service.
• Serve as a resource to 250+ Museum Council member households with timely inquiries.
• Maintain confidential donor records and files.
• Support data maintenance in Tessitura for Annual Programs donors.
• Assist with Museum Council events and communications, and collaborate on member engagement strategies.
• Hire and supervise MFA Pathways Interns when needed.
