Job summary

Museum of Fine Arts Boston seeks a Development Officer to manage the Curators Circles program, grow membership, and coordinate travel, events, and communications.

Reporting to the Director of Annual Programs and Philanthropy Insights, you will collaborate with Development and Curatorial teams, maintain CRM records, and drive outreach to enroll new members.
Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years in development or related field required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in development, program management, and/or a related field.
• Experience in a complex arts organization/museum or other related office environment.
• Experience in event planning, group travel, and/or fundraising.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks fluidly.
• Poise, maturity, flexibility, initiative and ability to work as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for all external inquiries related to the Curators Circles program.
• Fields telephone and email requests and handles inquiries professionally.
• Adds related contacts and notes to the Museum’s CRM.
• Supports Officers with Curators Circles members and outreach to re-join lapsed members.
• Collaborates with Annual Programs to incorporate solicitations into renewals and communications.
• Tracks renewals due monthly and drafts outreach; coordinates with curatorial and Development staff.
• Develops outreach strategies to convert prospects into new members.
• Works with marketing on invitations, web page, brochures, and communications.
