Job summary

Father Joe’s Villages seeks a Philanthropy Officer, Mid-Level Giving to build meaningful donor relationships and manage a portfolio of mid-level and prospective donors. You will connect generosity to our homelessness programs and learn donor motivations to tailor outreach.

You will present impact reports and engage supporters through personalized conversations, tours, and events while working with philanthropy colleagues to advance giving and ensure timely stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, development, advancement, or a related relationship-focused field.
• Experience managing donor relationships, a donor portfolio, or engagement activities that support fundraising goals.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to develop compelling fundraising materials and engage donors effectively.
• The ability to analyze donor information, manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of mid-level donors and prospective donors, developing personalized strategies to strengthen relationships and support fundraising goals.
• Connect with donors through meetings, calls, written communications, tours, events, and other engagement opportunities.
• Share stories, program updates, and impact reports that demonstrate how donor generosity change lives.
• Provide responsive, personalized follow-up that builds trust and encourages continued philanthropic involvement.
• Partners with philanthropy colleagues to coordinate donor strategies, share insights, and identify next steps for advancing relationships.
• Maintain accurate donor records, document interactions, and track follow-up activities in the donor database.
• Monitor portfolio activity and fundraising progress, using donor information to identify trends, evaluate opportunities, and inform future strategies.
• Contribute to fundraising planning, forecasting, portfolio reviews, and reporting while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
