Job summary

Brady, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending gun violence, is seeking a Manager, Donor Relations to develop and execute strategies to engage, retain, and steward donors and to manage Brady’s donor benefits program and stewardship plan. The role involves planning and data-driven donor communications, events, and personalized recognition to strengthen long-term support.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of professional experience.
  • At least one year of experience in donor relations, stewardship, or a related field for a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience in nonprofits and nonprofit management, with a focus on fundraising and campaigns, is preferred.
  • Proficient in managing donor databases and relationship management to support long-term donor engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including the capacity to effectively convey Brady’s mission.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to take initiative and adapt with a can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Write and distribute donor communications, such as newsletters, annual reports, and personalized thank-you letters, to keep donors informed and engaged.
  • Develop and execute in-person and virtual donor briefings.
  • Prepare weekly acknowledgments and general thank-you letters to donors/sponsors.
  • Create and implement donor cultivation plans, ensuring effective communication and engagement with donors.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of fundraising events with stewardship and cultivation for events.
  • Leadership of Donor Appreciation Week.
  • Develop and Execute Donor Recognition Anniversary Circles.
  • Organize and manage donor-centric events and activities to foster community and appreciation.
  • Create and manage an annual donor stewardship plan and timeline, noting strategies for segmented donors and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to identify and develop tailored approaches to solicit and steward major donors.
  • Create a long-term donor stewardship and retention plan to develop, manage, and grow ongoing donor relationships.
