Job summary

St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center seeks a Development Officer in Madison, NJ to build genuine donor relationships and manage a portfolio of roughly 120–150 supporters, corporate partners, and prospects.

Qualifications

• Strong relationship-building, listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward significant donor relationships.
• Ability to confidently make philanthropic asks and develop individualized strategies.
• Strong organizational skills with multiple relationships and deadlines.
• Understanding of portfolio management, stewardship, and pipeline development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of 120–150 donors, corporate partners, and prospects.
• Develop personalized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
• Conduct regular donor meetings, campus tours, and cultivation visits.
• Solicit significant gifts and prepare donor materials with internal teams.
• Identify opportunities to retain and upgrade donor relationships.
• Qualify new prospects and build a strong pipeline.
