Job summary

St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center in Madison, NJ, is seeking a Public Affairs Specialist. This full-time role focuses on shaping our public presence through media, digital storytelling, and community outreach, reporting to the Director of Public Affairs.

You will build partnerships, manage events, and coordinate with leaders and sponsors to advance our mission. You will work with the Marketing team to keep content fresh, respond to media requests, and prepare spokespeople for interviews.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in communications or nonprofit engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, nonprofit management, political science, or related field preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and professional experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for routine media inquiries and draft materials.
• Coordinate meetings with officials and stakeholders; monitor local developments.
• Contribute to integrated digital media strategies and content creation.
• Manage sponsorship portfolios, draft proposals, and ensure fulfillment of benefits.
• Lead coordination and execution of events and community engagement initiatives.
