Job summary

The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is seeking a Development Coordinator to advance donor engagement and fundraising initiatives. You will collaborate with the Development and Marketing teams to drive revenue, manage donor data, and support events and community programs.

The role emphasizes customer service to donors, volunteers, partners, and internal staff, with a focus on data integrity and reporting to support the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent education, plus relevant experience.
• Experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, events, or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Experience with donor databases or CRM systems; Blackbaud preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and solicit event sponsors and in-kind donations.
• Support virtual food drives and peer-to-peer campaigns with technical guidance.
• Ensure timely donor acknowledgment and recognition.
• Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities and donations.
• Coordinate logistics and promotion for fundraising events and food drives.
• Serve as point of contact for organizers and community partners.
• Represent the Bank at community events to boost visibility.
• Track donations from drives and third-party events.
• Prepare reports on fundraising progress and budgets.
