Job summary

The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is seeking a Program Associate to assist with day-to-day operations of children’s programs. You will collaborate with the Manager to ensure projects run accurately and on time, while delivering excellent service to internal teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include data collection for applications/grants, site monitoring, reporting, and supporting new programs. A positive, organized, and deadline-driven mindset is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 2 years post high school education preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record and proof of insurance required.
• Minimum one year of customer contact/customer service or human services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a positive work environment in alignment with the Company core values.
• Complete data entry assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work with Coordinators and Manager to help identify potential program sites.
• Assist in collecting data for applications / grants.
• Assist in set up and training new programs.
• Assist in monitoring program sites according to Food Bank requirements.
• Track program reporting, including monthly reports.
• Provide coverage at locations serving food to students.
• Provide support for special initiatives as assigned.
• Work effectively with stakeholders from diverse populations, revealing sensitivity, understanding and acceptance of others.
