Job summary

Versiti Blood Center of Michigan is seeking a Record Review Specialist to verify donor qualification, blood donation records, and lot release in compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines. You will ensure timely review and collaborate with team members to maintain high-quality records.

The role is full-time and on-site in Grand Rapids, with responsibilities spanning data entry, deviation reporting, and cross-functional communication with management and donors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• 2+ years healthcare or blood banking experience required.
• 1-3 years donor qualification or record review experience preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review records/reports to ensure compliance with SOPs before lot release.
• Review quality control and maintenance records for applicable collection date.
• Perform data entry of blood donation records into system.
• Initiate deviation reporting for unacceptable conditions.
• Organize paperwork for record retention and tracing.
