Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a detail‑oriented data processing professional for a donor center role in the Rochester area. You will review donor collections documentation, support donor and patient safety, and guide volunteers in quality review processes.

Applicants should have at least 3 years of data processing and related experience, with preference for donor center or medical backgrounds. Proficient computer skills and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of data processing, medical records, auditing and quality review experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Previous donor center experience, medical experience or quality background preferred.
• Proficiency with computer desktop applications and ability to type with speed and accuracy required.

Responsibilities

• Review and correct donor collections documents and assist with donor safety and patient safety issues.
• Evaluate discrepancies identified during review and manage suspect products.
• Make corrections as per defined procedures and document discrepancies for follow-up.
• Contribute ideas to form effective corrective actions in teams or with management.
• Contact external and internal customers and foster teamwork to support operations.
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and maintain professionalism in difficult situations.
