Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a donor center technician to perform plasmapheresis and venipunctures, ensuring donor comfort and confidentiality.

You will follow SOPs to comply with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP, while maintaining accurate records and high-quality product collection. Responsibilities include operating plasmapheresis machines, labeling samples, and participating in training as a designated trainer, with opportunities to support QA backup duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Three months’ experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• Completed documentation of training appropriate for duties, prior to performing duties independently.

Responsibilities

• Execute plasmapheresis and venipunctures.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP to maintain high standards.
• Deliver high-quality donor service and maintain donor confidentiality.
• Set up equipment, label units and samples accurately.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines; troubleshoot alarms and manage adverse events.
• Disposal of biohazardous waste and cleaning procedures.
• Maintain machine logs and routine calibration/maintenance.
• Mentor and train team members as a Designated Trainer.
• Support QA backup or NexSys Technician duties as needed.
