Job summary

CSL is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomy/Pheresis Support role to prepare donors, equipment, and processes for pheresis. The position requires attention to donor safety, precise data entry, and strict adherence to SOPs in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include machine setup, monitoring during the procedure, documentation in the PDA and donor information system, and potential cross-training in related areas. This is a full-time on-site role with standard safety practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
  • Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
  • Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
  • Maintains alertness to donor reactions and notifies appropriate staff as needed.
  • Uses PDA to record incidents during the pheresis process, including machine alerts and donor events.
  • Links equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor in the system.
  • Alerts supervisor of donor flow issues.
  • Ensures accurate donor data is recorded in the electronic donor information management system.
