Carter BloodCare in Bedford, TX is seeking a Clerical Assistant to provide entry-level administrative and customer service support to the Donor Notification Department. THE SCHEDULE FOR THIS POSITION IS MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 11:00 AM TO 7:30 PM.
The Clerical Assistant (CA) provides entry-level administrative and customer service support to the Donor Notification Department. This position works within established procedures and responds to routine inquiries, processes program enrollment and donor notification materials, maintains departmental records, and supports communication with donors, Carter BloodCare (CBC) employees, consignees, and Medical Services physicians. The CA assists with ensuring that information and documentation are handled in a timely, accurate and confidential manner and refers questions requiring additional review or interpretation to the appropriate departmental team member.
The CA exemplifies and champions CBC Core Values and Code of Conduct and adheres to CBC policies and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). To support ongoing development and organizational goals, the CA is required to attend meetings and training sessions, as assigned. This position exercises discretion, maintains an exceptionally high level of confidentiality, uses sound judgment when handling sensitive issues and complies with HIPAA requirements.
This position may require working varied shifts, extended hours, weekends, and/or overtime to support operational needs. Regular, full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.
