Job summary

CSL is seeking a qualified healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.

You will interview donors, review medical histories, interpret test results, and escalate critical cases to the Center Physician. The role requires licensure and healthcare experience, with preference for plasma collection experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic training.
  • If graduation is from foreign medical school, must be licensed as physician or certified EMT.
  • For NY: licensure or RN/MD/DO licensure or reciprocal license required.
  • Minimum 1 year healthcare experience.
  • Experience in plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.
  • Ability to assess physical findings (heart, lungs, signs of drug use).
  • Refer to local job documentation for applicable requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
  • Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
  • Interview donors and perform medical history reviews.
  • Collaborate with Center Medical Director on donor suitability questions.
  • Review test results and assess ongoing donor suitability.
  • Counsel donors regarding reactive test results and referrals for follow-up.
  • Provide routine care per SOPs; escalate critical situations to Center Physician.
