Job summary

Griffin Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago seeks a Prospect Management and Research Specialist to implement strategy for prospect identification, research and moves management. You will help fundraising goals through data-driven insights and collaboration with fundraisers and leadership.

The role requires experience with donor management, Salesforce, and research tools, with ability to analyze data and produce actionable reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2–4 years fundraising experience.
• Strong organizational and deadline-driven capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of donor types and solicitation cycles.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Develop prospect lists and philanthropic trend reports for priorities.
• Build relationships with fundraisers and conduct portfolio reviews.
• Provide new prospects through donor/member screenings.
• Prepare donor and prospect profiles for meetings and leadership pipelines.
• Coordinate data quality and segmentation using demographic and screening data.
• Ensure data accuracy via regular Salesforce audits.
• Monitor fundraising and BI trends to inform leadership.
• Manage vendor relationships and budgeting for analytics tools.
