Job summary

Griffin Museum of Science and Industry seeks an experienced communications professional to lead External Affairs, donor communications, and fundraising outreach. You will craft donor-ready collateral, manage content across channels, and develop integrated plans with leadership and partners.

The role requires strong writing, CMS experience, and collaboration with Marketing and Development to support funding priorities, membership growth, and events. Benefits start day one and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four years’ experience in communications or public relations and/or non-profit experience.
• Strong writing and storytelling abilities with excellent editing skills.
• Experience with content management systems and digital communications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiar with project management.
• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, message and complete departmental communications from conception through production, collaborating with EA and Marketing staff.
• Create donor-focused collateral and tell the impact story of Griffin MSI programs.
• Develop a donor communications plan including fundraising and membership initiatives.
• Create/manage External Affairs communications calendar and distribute materials.
• Oversee preparation of proposals for high-level solicitations with leadership.
