Job summary

Marklund in Geneva, IL, seeks a Major Gifts Manager to join our development team. This full-time role, based at the Geneva campus, runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM with occasional evenings and weekends for events.

The starting salary is $70,000-$80,000, dependent on qualifications and experience. You will manage a donor portfolio, work with senior leadership, and help shape strategies to grow philanthropic support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2-5 years of major gift experience.
• Ability to manage external relationships with donors and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Raiser's Edge NXT and Microsoft Office; able to communicate impact clearly.

Responsibilities

• Manage a donor portfolio of approximately 100-150 donors and guide major gifts strategy.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward gifts of $15,000+, expanding the Leadership Giving Circle.
• Use Raiser's Edge NXT for portfolio management, reporting and documentation.
• Collaborate with the CDO and Director of Donor Engagement to ensure a seamless donor journey.
