Job summary

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is seeking a Donation Attendant to provide excellent customer service to donors and customers in our retail locations. You will greet donors, receive donations, prepare receipts, and sort items for production.

This role supports store opening, production, and closing operations, including weekends and holidays. The position requires at least six months of prior work experience, English proficiency, strong communication, and the ability to lift 35 pounds.

Qualifications

• Six months of previous work experience or equivalent educational/vocational experience preferred.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all customers and donors.
• Ability to understand English and interact with customers and employees.
• Ability to communicate verbally with associates and customers.
• Physical ability to perform walking, stooping, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds frequently.
• Ability to be trained and safely use big joe stacker and pallet jack (age 18+).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all donors/customers.
• Greet donors and safely unload donations from vehicles.
• Complete donor receipts and offer a copy.
• Sort donated items into designated categories.
• Comply with safety and security practices and report hazards.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uniform standards.
• Adhere to store policies and report theft or misuse of company property.
• Demonstrate ethical behavior and comply with Corporate Compliance.
• Adhere to work schedule set by supervisor.
• Help load/unload donations for transport to other store locations.
• Perform general housekeeping and janitorial tasks as needed.
