Job summary

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries Rehabilitation Center, Inc. is seeking a Donation Attendant to provide excellent customer service to donors and customers inside and outside of retail locations.

You will greet donors, receive donations, and issue receipts while preparing donations for production processing in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, the ability to lift 35 pounds, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior work experience or equivalent educational/vocational experience preferred.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service to donors and customers.
• Ability to understand English and interact with customers and employees.
• Ability to communicate verbally with associates and customers.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds frequently.
• Age 18+ and training to safely use big joe stacker and pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all donors/customers.
• Greet donors and safely unload donations from vehicles.
• Complete donor receipts and provide copies.
• Sort donated items into designated categories.
• Follow safety and security practices and report hazards or injuries.
• Maintain a professional appearance per Goodwill standards.
• Comply with OVGI policies and report theft or misuse of property.
• Demonstrate ethical behavior and follow Corporate Compliance.
• Adhere to the work schedule set by supervisor.
