Donor Experience Pheresis Technician

Job summary

CSL Plasma in the United States seeks a Pheresis Technician to support donor collections in our Bloomfield center. You will prepare donors, equipment, and the pheresis apparatus, monitor the procedure, respond to alarms, and ensure donor safety and data accuracy in our systems.

This role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, safety policies (HSE/OSHA), confidentiality, and potential cross-training. Bilingual skills may be required; prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for pheresis.
• Prepare autopheresis machine for pheresis.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms.
• Disconnect donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain safety and notify staff of donor reactions.
• Record incidents with PDA, including alarms and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the system.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data entry in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyperimmune programs if applicable.
• Maintain a clean work environment and ensure supplies; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
