Job summary

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries Rehabilitation Center, Inc. seeks a Donation Attendant to greet donors, receive donations, issue receipts, and sort items for processing in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires lifting up to 35 pounds, walking and standing for long periods, and working a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Training on pallet jack and Big Joe stacker is provided. EEO employer.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior work experience or equivalent educational or vocational experience preferred.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service to donors and customers.
• Ability to understand English and interact with customers and employees.
• Ability to communicate verbally with associates and customers.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 35 pounds, and climb for extended periods.
• Training to safely use pallet jack and Big Joe stacker (age 18+).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all donors and customers.
• Greet donors and safely unload donations from vehicles.
• Prepare donor receipts and provide copies to donors.
• Sort donated items into designated categories.
• Follow safety and security practices and report hazards or injuries.
• Maintain professional appearance per uniform standards.
• Adhere to company policies and report theft or misuse of property.
