Community Action Council of Howard County (CAC) is seeking a Development Specialist to advance fundraising and community engagement. You will manage donor portfolios, help execute annual fund and major gift campaigns, and support events and communications.

You will collaborate with the Director of Development and CAC stakeholders to grow philanthropic support and raise the organization's public profile. The role requires strong writing and presentation skills, and a proven track record in donor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Three or more years of fundraising or development experience, including direct donor contact.
• Demonstrated success managing a donor portfolio or similar relationship management function.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to inspire and engage donors.

Responsabilités

• Donor Portfolio Management: manage 80–100 donors with annual revenue goals; document activity in CRM.
• Fundraising & Donor Engagement: implement strategies for annual fund, major gifts, and capital campaigns.
• Events & Campaigns: support donor site visits, events, and sponsorship tracking.
• Administration: maintain donor files, generate reports, and support board committees.
