Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking an External Relations Coordinator to support our mission by coordinating department responsibilities, donor events, and social media efforts across Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Southern Indiana.

The role collaborates with Business Development, Fund Development, Communications, and Community Engagement teams to advance philanthropic, marketing, and outreach goals while maintaining calendars, preparing materials, and coordinating trainings and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 2–4 years of office administrative experience preferred.
• Strong planning, organizing and resource management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders; proficient in Microsoft Office; social media/content creation experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fund development activities including tours and events.
• Represent VOA at donor events and assist in donor communication planning.
• Manage internal communication plan and support Business Development as needed.
• Plan and run department meetings, prepare materials, and track follow-up actions.
• Coordinate social media across VOA locations and create graphics and content as needed.
• Support donor stewardship and outreach efforts and coordinate donor acknowledgments.
