Job summary

University of Missouri-St. Louis seeks an Assistant Director for External and Donor Relations to plan and execute donor events, stewardship experiences, and acknowledgment activities.

The role reports to the AVP and collaborates across campus to deliver high-impact engagements. Responsibilities include managing logistics for events, coordinating with partners, maintaining records, and supporting signature university events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 2+ years of experience in events management and/or donor stewardship.
• Experience with CRM systems preferred; advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. and work on feet as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute donor events, stewardship experiences, and acknowledgment activities.
• Coordinate logistics for engagement events ranging from small to university-wide scale.
• Develop data-driven lists and messaging with Advancement colleagues.
• Oversee budgets, vendor relationships, and cost-containment strategies.
• Mentor Student Ambassadors on event tasks and constituent relations.
