Job summary

Several Sources Shelters is seeking a Donor Services and Database Manager in New Jersey to oversee day-to-day donor operations and raise the efficiency of data management, primarily using Raiser's Edge. The role includes coding and acknowledging donations, producing analytics, and training staff on database use.

You will work closely with Finance to reconcile funds and ensure data integrity, develop standard procedures, and manage forms for donors, events, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Significant experience utilizing and managing a database, preferably Raiser’s Edge.
• Strong computer skills in typing, data entry, Microsoft Office, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and strategically and make recommendations for improvements.

Responsibilities

• Solely responsible for the accurate and timely entry of all contributions, pledges, and in-kind donations.
• Establish and maintain consistent and accurate coding and acknowledgment of donations, appeals, and giving methods.
• Work with staff to ensure timely and accurate donation acknowledgment.
• Create and maintain giving forms, event registration forms, and volunteer forms.
• Maintain the integrity of the database; make case-by-case updates and identify global changes to maintain accuracy, cleanliness, and consistency.
• Establish processes according to best practices; conduct Raiser’s Edge training for staff to ensure effective utilization.
• Frequently produce standard giving reports, donor and giving analytics, customized queries, data pulls, mailing lists and reports for management and communications activities.
• Develop and implement standardized procedures for utilization of Raiser’s Edge.
• Work closely with Finance to ensure proper allocation and reconciliation of all funds in both Raiser’s Edge and Quick Books databases.
• Ensure accuracy of tracking systems.
• Work with consultants to support data management efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.
