Job summary

Rainforest Action Network (RAN) is hiring a Data and Gift Assistant for its San Francisco office. You will handle timely gift entry, donor record maintenance, and data exports for newsletters, direct mail, and events, working under the Database Administrator and with the fundraising team.

Qualifications

Experience in data management using fundraising software (Raiser’s Edge or comparable).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites and Google applications.
Ability to handle cash, credit cards, PayPal and wire transfers.
Strong project and time management skills; detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Timely Gift Entry and Acknowledgement: enter direct mail and online donations, issue receipts, update donor records.
Data Management and Upkeep: manage donor data, ensure integration between donor database and eCRM, update records per standards.
Reporting: build exports for newsletters, direct mail, online appeals and invitations.
Reconcile finances with Finance and Accounting; assist with monthly data audits.
Respond to donor requests and maintain donor records including updates and sustainer changes.
