Job summary

Rainforest Action Network (RAN) seeks a Grants Coordinator to manage grant writing, reporting and foundation relationships in San Francisco. Reporting to the Foundations Director, you will coordinate deliverables for 30+ institutional funders and help grow a $3.7M foundation revenue within an $8M annual fundraising budget.

This full-time role requires strong writing, editing, and project-management skills, with collaborative work across teams.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and editing for proposals and reports.
• Strong project management with multiple funder deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
• Experience with grant budgets and expense reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit foundation proposals and reports on schedule.
• Coordinate inputs from program leadership for grant deliverables.
• Collaborate with Finance on budgets and expenses for submissions.
• Oversee submission of grant deliverables and timelines.
• Track upcoming proposals using approved tools (Raiser’s Edge, Google Sheets).
• Support foundations planning, meetings, and events.
