Job summary

Jobtailor in Sparks, NV is seeking a Plasma Center Support staff member responsible for pre-donation medical screening, donor interaction, and assessing donor suitability. You will ensure complete screening information, maintain donor confidentiality, and perform data entry and handling of biological fluids in a compliant, high-standard environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, flexible scheduling, potential state licensures, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs; training provided.

Qualifications

  • Near and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and in the other eye to 20/100.
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work sitting or standing for the entire shift, bend, twist the neck and waist, and perform frequent hand and foot movements.
  • Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups.

Job description


  • Conduct pre-donation medical screening

  • Interact with donors and respond to customer needs

  • Assess donor suitability and engage in set-up

  • Provide appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates

  • Ensure all donor screening information is complete

  • Ensure donor confidentiality

  • Perform work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical office and laboratory equipment, and extreme cold below 32 degrees F in the plasma freezer

  • Perform a wide range of complex tasks under variable demands and changing conditions
