Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa, Inc. is seeking a store associate to assist customers, manage register transactions, and receive donations at multiple locations. You will help sort, grade, and stock merchandise, and support loading and unloading trucks.

The role includes donor engagement, performing light maintenance, and maintaining a safe, clean store environment while delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years old.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Possess a positive attitude and infect others with similar enthusiasm.
Must be able to lift, push, or pull fifty pounds with assistance.
Reliability and ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide good service to meet agency expectations.
Sort and grade donations and truck shipments for well-stocked stores.
Operate cash register to process transactions efficiently.
Identify merchandise for online sales and handle per procedure.
Unload donations at donor sites and record donation counts.
Assist with shoveling snow, changing bulbs, cleaning windows, and upkeep.
Assist and train new team members on job duties.
Maintain store and donation area in safe, clean condition and report repairs.
