Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Donations Processing Associate at its Michigan Port Huron area store. This part-time role with 25 hours weekly focuses on donor service, donation processing, and maintaining an orderly donation area.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or currently pursuing.
Strong English communication for donor and team interactions.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
Basic math skills are necessary for donation processing and receipting.
Must pass pre-employment background check; flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

Greet donors and provide exceptional donor service.
Process and track donations accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized donation area.
Sort, load, and unload Salvation Army trucks per center policy.
Power sort donations as they arrive where applicable.
Support production processes as needed by the center.
Safeguard all donated materials and assigned equipment.
Report any complaints, damage, or injuries in the donation area.
Guide donors on acceptable materials and information about pickup services for heavy items.
