Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking a store operations supervisor to oversee daily donation and production activities, ensuring goals and safety standards are met.

You will lead the backroom team to move donations to the floor efficiently and convert items into revenue in a fast-paced environment. The role requires strong leadership, adaptability, and the ability to train and coach staff while maintaining quality controls and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year supervisory experience.
• Leadership and mentoring experience preferred.
• Experience in retail sales, production, or related teams.
• Proficient in MS Office; BI tools a plus.
• Able to pass background checks and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily donation and production operation to meet budget and policy compliance.
• Lead backroom production to move donations to the sales floor efficiently.
• Convert donations into revenue while keeping a safe, clean workplace.
• Supervise production staff to meet minimum goals (110 garments/hour; 90% quality).
• Set up and maintain backroom workflow to maximize production.
• Process donations to maximize sales and minimize waste.
• Monitor waste and ensure sellable merchandise is not discarded.
• Conduct quality checks before placing merchandise on the floor.
• Check textile racks for accurate piece counts.
• Monitor back-room stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
• Coordinate daily needs with transportation and District Managers.
• Ensure donations are processed expeditiously from door to floor.
• Maintain safe conditions in backroom areas.
• Write and post schedules to meet production goals.
• Observe compliance with personnel and safety policies.
• Use cash register for sales in emergencies (voids, returns, credits).
• Ensure production staff have necessary materials.
• Assist Store Manager in achieving/exceeding sales and contingency planning.
• Assist in coaching and development of production staff; document it.
• Create environment conducive to meeting goals via multitasking.
• Assist in scheduling employees for adequate coverage.
• Perform duties of all store production staff (donation receiving, sorting, etc.).
• Keep store clean and hazard free.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
