Job summary

Goodwill Industries Southern New England Inc is seeking a Retail Material Handler to support store operations. You will move materials, assist donors and customers, prep donated goods for processing, and help maintain a clean, safe workspace under the Store or Outlet Manager.

This role requires weekend/holiday/evening hours, may cross-train to other duties, lift heavy items, operate hand trucks, and comply with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; related experience or training is a plus.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Move materials and containers as instructed; assist donors and customers with donations and purchases.
• Sort, price and grade newly arrived goods; stock and display items as required.
• Prepare donated goods for processing and disposal of non-saleable items.
• Lift heavy objects, use hand trucks or pallet jacks, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Assist in shipping documentation and labeling; follow safety procedures.
